Exercise

I am an avid cyclist (or I was an avid cyclist at the time of this post) and I love to go out and ride my bikes for hours on end. Lately, I have not been able to consistently exercise as mentioned in my blood pressure post. Mainly because I am sharing caretaking duties of my mom with my sister.

When I don’t need to be looking after mom, I take advantage of the time by running errands or just exercising. Right now, the easiest thing to do is walk for at least 30 minutes. I still get in some riding as long as I plan it well in advanced. Like I said before, I enjoy riding for a long time so that’s why planning ahead is completely necessary.

Not only does exercising help me lower my blood pressure, I love the feeling when I’m doing it and afterwards primarily from the endorphin release. Exercise let’s me improve the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual state. Incorporating exercise in my life is absolutely necessary for these reasons.

That’s why when people ask me what is the best thing you can do to help productivity and reenergize your motivation, this would be my number 1 thing to do. A quick 30 minute walk will do wonders.

I have to admit that it has been hard from going from 3 days of riding per week to walking 1 or 2 times a week is not the ideal situation for me but I am making do with what I’m given.

What are some of your favorite exercises? Do you turn to exercise to help refocus yourself? Let me know in the comments below if you do.
